Our Story

Over the years, my wife and I made it a tradition to visit our favorite spots in Napa Valley, where we developed our palates and deepened our appreciation for great wines. Napa remains my favorite region to this day—filled with memories, learning, and joy shared among friends.

Eager to understand more than just taste, I began formally studying wine through courses led by the late Patrick Fegan, a celebrated Chicago-based wine educator and founder of the Chicago Wine School. With this foundation, I explored wine regions with renewed confidence, visiting vineyards across California, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and more.

Friends and guests at my tastings would often ask, “Are you a wine expert?” I would smile and say, “No—I’m a CPA by day who just loves wine.” But that recurring question eventually planted a seed. I decided to pursue professional certification and transform my passion into something more.
